If you intend to use credit card payment for the firearm purchase, this hold deposit is not necessary...just go ahead and complete the order. 

If you select the money order/certified check payment option for the firearm purchase, this credit card deposit is required to hold the firearm for up to 10 days, while the balance of payment is mailed and FFL arrangements are made.  Once the deposit is paid, we will adjust the balance due on your order by subtracting the deposit amount from the total.

Many of our firearms are one-of-a-kind or limited inventory.  If you find a firearm on our website that you wish to purchase, you may request a HOLD be placed on that firearm while the order arrangements are completed. This will prevent the firearm from being sold to someone else during this time. In order to place a firearm on HOLD, you will be required to make a $25.00, non-refundable deposit by using Mastercard or Visa (do not choose the check or money order payment option for placing the hold deposit). This deposit will be applied to the purchase price at the time the order is completed, but cannot be refunded if the buyer fails to complete the transaction.  HOLDs will be issued on a first come basis and time stamps from the hold order, will determine the first in line if requests are received from more than one individual on a particular firearm. Communicating your intentions to purchase does not in itself constitute placing a HOLD. A HOLD can only be issued once a credit card order for the $25.00 deposit is received by MacTec. The HOLD DEPOSIT is good for 10 days. If balance of payment and FFL have not been received by MacTec within 10 days of the HOLD being placed, the item is subject to be released for sale to other buyers and the HOLD DEPOSIT will be forfeited.

Use the 'Special Instructions' box during checkout to indicate which firearm you are placing a hold deposit for.  Indicate Item No. (if provided) or model, caliber, and NIB, CPO, or Used.
